A century of celebration
& community
Amenities
The hall was bequeathed to the parish nearly a century ago. Today its guardians have sympathetically brought it up to scratch for modern use. The hall has a fully equipped kitchen, lavatories (including for disabled use) and a shower. Crockery and glasses can cater for 50. The handsome wooden floor is as suitable for dancing as it is for indoor sports. Seating for 60 can quickly be brought out for bigger events. A modular stage takes just minutes to set up for theatrical productions or concerts. There is a grand piano.
Outside, the grounds slope gently down towards the valley, with gorgeous views out towards the market town of Chagford. Congenial for barbecues and outdoor parties, it is also big enough for a marquee. There is car-parking space and, to one side of the hall, a small field for camping. The hall is a perfect venue for weddings, christenings, memorial gatherings, concerts and plays. It is also ideal for retreats and workshops. Or just for partying.
